Fullfilling
the needs at sea with an ASMO Marine solution.
On our first trip with the electric engine, we sailed towards the
open sea from Oslo. Motoring out the first few hundred meters with
the ASMO engine from the harbour was smooth, and then we continued
sailing out towards the open sea.
From our first stop in Kristiansand, we continued to Skagen, and
then we used the engine in Helsingør, Marstrand, Drøbak, Son and
fi nally the last few hundred meters to the home harbour in Oslo.
The engine worked smoothly on the whole trip. |

I decided early on that the main
goal for me was to have an engine for: - Maneuvering in harbors.
- Safety, lee coast and "emergency" situations.
The engine has so far met my needs.We have experienced the reality
of sailing with the electric engine. It takes some "shift" of mindset
towards what it means to sail and plan voyages. It is inspiring
and fun to deal with an electric engine.
